Parking in Kyiv will be paid again: how much does it cost and how to pay
Kyiv is reintroducing municipal parking fees. You will not have to pay always, but only on weekdays. Find out how to pay by phone and where to look for a car if your car has been evacuated
On 22 April, parking fees will be reintroduced in Kyiv. However, you will have to pay for it only on weekdays from 8:00 to 22:00. We'll tell you where to pay and how to pay for parking.
Please note that at other times on weekdays and around the clock on Saturdays and Sundays, parking is free.
How to pay for parking using the Kyiv Digital app?
As you know, Kyiv Digital is a multifunctional application for residents and guests of the capital, which provides information about air alerts, road closures, accidents and the amenities of the city's infrastructure. Users can buy QR tickets for transport, recharge their travel cards and interact with the city authorities through petitions and voting.
You can also use the app to pay the city's parking tariff. Here's how to do it:
🔻 select "driver services";
🔻 go to "Hourly parking";
🔻select the car number from the list or enter it;
select the address and number of the car park from the list or it will be automatically detected by geolocation;
🔻click "Start parking";
🔻Click "Finish parking" as soon as the car leaves the car park.
After that, go to "Pay for parking".
You can pay for the parking service with a card via Apple Pay or Google Pay.
You can also enable the notification function in the app. When parking is activated, it will remind the car owner of the active parking.
Please note that Kyiv municipal car parks do not accept cash payments. It is the payment in the city app that is the official payment that goes to the Kyiv budget.
You should also know that during the air raid, inspectors do not fine drivers and do not evacuate cars. So you shouldn't worry about it, and if you hear the air raid alarm, take cover immediately.

How much does parking in Kyiv cost?
In Kyiv, municipal parking spaces are divided into specific zones, which determine the price of parking a car:
Zone 1 - central streets around Khreshchatyk Street - 35 UAH/hour (0.88 USD);
Zone 2 - a large centre from Shulyavka to Pechersk - 25 UAH/hour (0.63 USD);
Zone 3 - other districts of the city - 5 UAH/hour (0.13 USD).
What should I do if my car is taken to the impound lot?
If inspectors find that your car is parked in an area where parking is not allowed, the vehicle may be taken to the impound lot.
If the car data is linked to the profile in the Kyiv Digital app, the user will automatically receive a notification about the evacuation of an incorrectly parked car. To find and pick up the car, you need to click on this notification, and then click on the "Return car" button.
To return the car, follow the instructions on the screen:
1. Provide copies of the documents via "Action";
2. pay the towing fee.
You will need to show the received QR code to a police officer at the impound lot.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
