Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the launch of an online service for booking tickets by the military and relatives of wounded soldiers who are being evacuated by medical trains. This service is designed to facilitate the evacuation of soldiers and provide support to their families. This was reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.

Terms of use of the service

As noted in the report, medical trains for the evacuation of wounded soldiers are equipped with everything necessary to provide medical care during transportation. However, for security reasons, there are no seats for relatives in such trains. That is why now, family members of wounded soldiers can apply for train tickets through a special service.

If your relatives are being urgently transported by medical trains and there are no tickets available at the moment, you can book tickets in two ways:

1. apply on a special page on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia

2. call the number 080 050 32 22

The application for ticket reservation must be submitted no later than 6 hours before the train departure. Pay for tickets at the ticket office no later than one hour before departure.

What documents are required for booking?

To redeem a special reservation at the ticket office, you must provide the original or a copy of the combatant's certificate of the wounded relative, as well as a document confirming your relationship with him or her.

The press service of UZ also reminded that they have a free hotline to support military personnel and their families at 0800 503 222.

As a reminder, on May 18, a new law on mobilization and military service came into force, which changed the procedure for military registration and conscription and increased sanctions for evaders.
