The Ukrainian Embassy in Israel informs that Israel will issue a work permit to Ukrainians who are forced to stay in Israel due to the war in Ukraine. The permit will allow Ukrainians to legally work in Israel and support themselves as long as the war in Ukraine continues and our citizens are unable to return home.

All citizens of Ukraine who were legally in Israel as of February 24, 2022, as well as those who entered later, will be able to get a job. Based on the available information and the position of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Israel, citizens of Ukraine do not need to apply to the branches of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to obtain separate work permits.

To apply for a job you need to have a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad. The Embassy also strongly recommends concluding an employment relationship with the employer, namely signing a contract (employment contract). In the event of a violation of your rights, documents signed by your employer will help you protect your rights in Israeli courts. Under Israeli law, all foreign workers have the same rights as Israeli citizens. In case of violation of your rights, you can use the services of local lawyers to file a complaint to the courts.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Israel has currently extended the stay of temporarily displaced citizens of Ukraine in Israel until June 30, 2022. That is, you can currently work until June 30, 2022. In the event of continued hostilities in Ukraine, the stay of Ukrainian citizens must be extended by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Israel.

Earlier we reported that Israel allowed the entry of family members of Ukrainians who have a work visa in Israel.
