On August 1, 2024, a new order of the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) came into effect in Ukraine, which fully automates the processes of enrollment, transfer, and expulsion of students in schools. According to Osvita.UA, the introduction of electronic services makes these procedures more transparent and convenient for parents and educational institutions.

New rules for enrolling and transferring students

From now on, enrollment of children for education, transfer of students from one school to another or their expulsion is carried out exclusively through the AIKOM software and hardware complex or the Diia Portal.

How to apply for a child's enrollment in school?

An application for enrollment of a child to school can be submitted by one of the parents or an adult in two ways:

1. In person or by e-mail, fax or other means of electronic communication to the school.

2. In electronic form using AICOM or online services.

How will the order to transfer a child from one school to another be formed now?

Orders of the head of the educational institution on enrollment, transfer and expulsion of students are now generated automatically in electronic form using AICOM. This reduces the risk of human error and speeds up processes in educational institutions.

At the same time, each educational institution must appoint a responsible employee who will ensure the organization of the processes of enrollment, transfer and expulsion of students using AICOM or online services.

Cancellation of certificates

Also, with the start of the new school year, certificates from educational institutions on the possibility of enrollment, the fact of enrollment or non-enrollment of a student in school are no longer required. The authenticity of the documents submitted to the institution will be checked automatically by AICOM, including documents confirming the place of residence or stay in the service area.

The introduction of an automated system of enrollment, transfer and expulsion of students is an important step towards modernizing Ukraine's education system. It helps to improve the efficiency of educational institutions and simplifies procedures for parents.

We remind you! Starting from the next school year, Ukrainian students will study according to a new strategy developed by the government to return students to offline learning.
