In response to the needs of more than 300,000 Ukrainian citizens living in Spain, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, initiated the opening of a separate branch of the State Enterprise “Document” in Barcelona. According to the Passport Service's website, this will provide access to important passport services for Ukrainians living in the region.

Work in test mode: what you need to know

On August 16, 2024, mobile software and hardware systems of the State Enterprise “Document”, specially equipped white minibuses with the “Passport Service” symbol, began accepting applications for documents. At the initial stage, the work is carried out in a test mode.

Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, which is controlled by representatives of the State Enterprise “Document”. This is a temporary service format designed to ensure the most efficient service delivery process.

List of available services

Citizens of Ukraine staying in Barcelona can use the following services:

1. Issuance of an ID card or passport (including replacement of a lost or stolen document);

2. Exchange of an ID card or passport (due to expiration, change of information, unsuitability for use);

3. Exchange of a 1994 passport for an ID-card (upon request or in case of unsuitability of the document).

Location and terms of service of the passport service in Barcelona

Mobile complexes of the Passport Service are located at the following address: Av. del Segle XXI, 6, 08840 Viladecans, Barcelona. For the convenience of customers, there is a free parking area on the territory of the complex, as well as a convenient transportation interchange (Renfe, Viladecans train station).

The complex is open from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 to 18:00.
