A thousand days of heroic resistance
During these 1000 days, Ukrainians proved that we are an unbreakable nation. Every morning, millions wake up to the sound of air raids, but continue to fight, work, live and believe. Our defenders perform miracles on the front line every day, and the world recognizes that they have never seen such courage before. That is why on November 19, the European Parliament is going to hold an extraordinary meeting with a special address by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The price of freedom in numbers and fates
As of November 19, 2024, about 66.9 thousand km² of Ukrainian territory is under temporary occupation, which is about 11% of the total area of Ukraine.
Ukraine's losses in this war are not officially disclosed, and the real figure will be known only after the war is over. According to the Wall Street Journal, in September 2024, Ukraine lost 80,000 soldiers in the deaths and 400,000 in injuries. However, the Ukrainian government claims that the real figure is much lower. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as of February 25, 2024, 31,000 soldiers were killed in Ukraine.
At the same time, civilian casualties, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, exceeded 13,500 killed and 25,900 wounded. Among them are over 580 killed and over 1,680 wounded children. However, the real number may be much higher, as it is currently impossible to establish the exact number of victims due to the fighting and occupation.
In addition, as of November 2024, there are more than 15 thousand cases of abduction of Ukrainian citizens and illegal deprivation of their liberty by the russian occupation authorities.
At the same time, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 6.7 million Ukrainians are forced refugees who have taken refuge in different parts of the world. Another 4 million were forced to flee their homes and become internally displaced within Ukraine.

Victories that inspire the world
Every victory of Ukraine is a story of the impossible that became possible:
– The defense of Kyiv - when the whole world predicted the fall of the capital in three days, but met the sunrise over a free city;
– The liberation of Kharkiv region - a lightning-fast operation that showed that the Ukrainian army is capable of the unimaginable;
– The liberation of Kherson - the moment when the tears of joy of the city's residents washed away the pain of occupation;
– The Kursk operation is proof that now the enemy cannot feel safe even on its own territory.
A thousand days of war have tempered our faith in the Victory. The year 2025 is ahead, and it may bring new challenges and changes. But the world already knows that Ukrainians are a force capable of making history. Every new day brings Ukraine closer to Victory, to the moment when the last occupier leaves the Ukrainian land.
Remember! Invincibility is not just a word, it is the code of a nation that has shown the world what it means to fight for freedom.
Together to Victory! Glory to Ukraine!
We remind you! It has become known how many Ukrainians are ready to give up their territories for peace. The data of the new poll is available here.
