On November 23, Polish farmers plan to start another protest on the border with Ukraine. According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the action will start at 9:00 a.m. Kyiv time near the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint.

The protesters announced a partial blocking of traffic. Cars and buses will be able to cross the border as usual in both directions, but significant restrictions will be imposed on trucks.

This is not the first protest of Polish farmers on the border with Ukraine. The main reasons for the discontent are competition with Ukrainian producers and requirements to regulate imports of agricultural products.

Restrictions for trucks

According to the announced terms of the protest, the movement of freight transport will be partially restricted:

● Only one truck per hour will be allowed to enter Ukraine

● Exit from Ukraine will be completely blocked for trucks weighing more than 3.5 tons

Current situation on the border with Poland

Currently, the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint is operating in the normal mode. Customs clearance of all types of vehicles is unrestricted. However, the situation may change tomorrow morning.
