
A direct train from Brussels to Venice will start running on 5 February, making travelling much easier for tourists. Find out how the train will run and how much tickets cost
Today, on 5 February 2025, a new route was opened to passengers - the long-awaited direct train between Brussels (Belgium) and Venice (Italy) made its first run. The train is operated by European Sleeper, a company specialising in international overnight routes between popular tourist destinations.

Train schedule
The train departs today from the central station Bruxelles Midi/Brussel Zuid at 18:06 and arrives at the station Venezia Santa Lucia in Venice tomorrow at 16:50. This means that the entire journey will take about 23 hours of continuous travel. Along the route, in addition to Belgium and Italy, the train will make stops in a number of cities in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. The route programme is as follows:
- Brussels (Belgium)
- Breda (Netherlands)
- Eindhoven (Netherlands)
- Cologne (Germany)
- Munich (Germany)
- Innsbruck (Austria)
- Bolzano (Italy)
- Verona (Italy)
- Venice (Italy)

Ticket prices
Fares are calculated for different categories of passengers:
▪️ Seated seats: starting price from 79 euros.
▪️ Six-seater compartment with lie-flat seats: from 179 euros.
▪️ Triple bedrooms with a compartment washbasin and breakfast included: from 259 euros.
Thus, passengers can choose the most comfortable option depending on their preferences and budget. But to book tickets without any difficulties, we recommend using the booking system on our portal.
Test mode of operation
The train is currently in test mode. Departures from Brussels are scheduled for the following dates: 5 and 14 February, and 4 and 12 March. Trains will depart from Venice on 9 and 18 February and 8 and 16 March. This step is aimed at assessing demand and responding promptly to passenger requests on the new international route.
