Ukrzaliznytsia has released updated information on passenger train traffic in the frontline regions of Ukraine as of February 2. Due to constant threats of shelling and enemy drone activity in certain areas of the railway, the format of transportation has been temporarily changed—passengers are being transported by bus along detour routes.

This was reported by the carrier's press service on its official Telegram channel, emphasizing that the safety of passengers and railway employees remains a priority in all decisions regarding transport operations.

Kharkiv region: high-risk area

In the Kharkiv region, the Lozova-Barvinkove-Kramatorsk area remains dangerous for train traffic. Due to the threat of shelling, passengers are advised to use buses that operate on detour routes.

Ukrzaliznytsia notes that the situation in the region is constantly monitored, and decisions on the restoration of full railway service will be made exclusively with safety factors in mind.

Zaporizhzhia direction: basic scenario — bus service

Enhanced monitoring of threats also continues in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the basic scenario for the current day remains the transportation of passengers by bus between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.

The company does not rule out the possibility of a limited resumption of train service if the security situation allows. At the same time, they emphasize that decisions will be made promptly and that the safety of passengers and railway workers is paramount in this case.

Sumy region: traffic maintained, control strengthened

In the Sumy region, despite the shelling of Konotop, rail service is currently maintained. Ukrzaliznytsia monitoring groups are working in an enhanced mode. In the event of an immediate threat from UAVs, trains may stop near shelters.
