Payments of 10,800 UAH from the DRC: Ukrainians can receive financial assistance as early as May
Some Ukrainians can look forward to a new round of financial support. The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has begun accepting applications for targeted financial assistance of 10,800 hryvnias per family member. Find out who meets the vulnerability criteria and how to apply correctly
A new financial support programme for the population has been launched in Ukraine. Thanks to the Humanitarian Fund for Ukraine, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), in collaboration with the NGO ‘Lampa’, has opened pre-registration for multi-purpose payments. The amount of aid is quite substantial, amounting to 10,800 hryvnias per family member.
Who is eligible for the 10,800 UAH grant?
The current phase of the programme has a clear geographical focus and is aimed at residents of the Chernihiv region, specifically the Novhorod-Siverskyi community. Citizens who actually reside in the Pechenyugiv, Kamensko-Slobidskyi and Hremyatskyi starosta districts are eligible for financial support.
This coverage area includes settlements such as Pechenyugi, Kamenska Sloboda, Hremyach, Buchky, Volodymyrivka, Ivankiv, Muraveynik, Mykhailivka and a number of other neighbouring villages. Ukrainians will be able to use the allocated funds for their most urgent needs: purchasing food, essential medicines, hygiene products, as well as paying for utility bills.
What are the criteria for receiving financial assistance?
The organisers emphasise that funds are distributed based on vulnerability criteria to support those who need it most. First and foremost, the aid is intended for internally displaced persons (IDPs), large families raising three or more minor children, and single mothers.
In addition, priority in receiving payments is given to citizens with disabilities, people of retirement age (over 60) and those battling serious illnesses.

How to apply for payments and registration deadlines
Preliminary data collection is already underway and will continue until 8 May 2026 inclusive. An important rule of the programme: only one family member per household may complete the special form.
Citizens whose applications meet the vulnerability criteria will subsequently receive an SMS invitation to complete the full registration process.
The organisers place particular emphasis on financial security. When completing the application, you will never be asked for bank card details, account numbers or any other confidential financial information. It is also important to understand that successfully passing the preliminary stage does not provide a 100% guarantee of receiving payments.
