Ukrainian veterans have only a few days left to apply for reimbursement of their auto liability insurance premiums through the Diya app. This was reported by Finance.ua. The deadline is May 23, and it applies even to policies that have already expired.

Deadline for submitting an application for auto liability insurance reimbursement: May 23, 2026

Applications for reimbursement of auto liability insurance costs must be submitted by May 23, 2026, inclusive. After this date, it will no longer be possible to apply for compensation under policies that have expired.

The program applies to subsidized insurance policies issued on or after January 1, 2026. You can submit an application even if your auto liability insurance policy is no longer active.

Who is eligible for auto liability insurance compensation through Diya?

Individuals with the appropriate status in the Diya app are eligible for compensation, specifically:

• holders of a combatant certificate;
• individuals with war-related disabilities.

Having a verified status in Diya is a mandatory requirement for submitting an application.

In addition to the owner’s status, there is also a requirement regarding the vehicle: the car must not be used for taxi services or commercial freight transport.

How to apply for auto liability insurance compensation in the Diya app

The entire process takes place online via the Diya app. You need to:

1. Open the Diya app.
2. Go to the “Veteran PRO” section.
3. Select the auto liability insurance compensation service.
4. Fill out and submit the application.

After the application is reviewed, the funds will be transferred to your Diya Card.
