In such cases, to complete the passport application process, it is necessary to provide documentary proof that the child holds Ukrainian citizenship.

A certificate of registration as a citizen of Ukraine serves as proof. This document records one of the following decisions regarding a minor:

• establishment of Ukrainian citizenship;
• naturalization as a citizen of Ukraine;
• registration of the acquisition of Ukrainian citizenship.

The certificate is submitted along with the package of documents required to obtain a foreign passport.
