Start date of the 2026 college admissions campaign
The admissions campaign for vocational and technical colleges officially begins on June 25. The extended application deadlines are intended to accommodate a larger number of applicants. The Ministry of Education and Science noted that there are no significant changes to the admission rules this year—the procedure remains familiar to applicants.
At the same time, colleges have been granted greater autonomy in organizing the admission process, so specific details may vary depending on the particular institution.
State-funded spots and scholarships at colleges
College education remains accessible to the vast majority of students. About 95% of students are funded by the state budget. In addition to free tuition, most students are eligible for:
- scholarships;
- free housing in dormitories.

For which majors will the state quota be increased in 2026?
In 2026, an expansion of the state quota is planned across several fields. Additional state-funded spots are allocated for the following sectors:
- engineering majors;
- construction majors;
- mechanical engineering;
- electrical engineering;
- the aviation sector.
The increase in state-funded quotas in these fields reflects the labor market’s need for relevant specialists.
Applying to college from abroad: how to submit documents online
Applicants located outside Ukraine also have the opportunity to apply to college remotely. To do this, you must create an applicant’s online account and submit your documents online. Many institutions conduct interviews remotely, so returning to Ukraine to complete the admission process is generally not required. Specific requirements and the procedure for remote admission should be clarified directly with the chosen college.
