As of mid-2024, Ukrainian citizens are investing more in crypto assets than in bonds or stocks. This is stated in a survey by Gradus Research, ForkLog reports.

Thus, 26% of Ukrainians among the surveyed residents of cities with a population of more than 100,000 people claim to own cryptocurrencies. However, real estate remains the most popular investment, followed by bank deposits.

Why do Ukrainians need cryptocurrencies?

According to the survey, the reasons why Ukrainians use cryptocurrencies include its popularity and relevance (47%), investment opportunities (40%), and potentially high income (38%). Equally popular are such factors as inflation protection, openness, accessibility, and anonymity.

At the same time, half of the respondents are interested in starting to use digital assets, while 37% are not interested. Thus, most of those who do not yet own cryptocurrencies are considering purchasing them in the future.

The main reason for not using cryptocurrencies is a lack of knowledge and understanding (64%).

As for citizens who remain indifferent to cryptocurrencies, their number is 37%. Another 64% of respondents are not ready to interact with them due to a lack of knowledge and understanding.
