What kind of insurance for traveling abroad can Ukrainians apply for at Visit Ukraine?

In general, there are two types of insurance available to Ukrainians: travel and medical. They differ in coverage and are suitable for different purposes. It is worth noting that for those traveling abroad by car, it is mandatory to take out a Green Card policy, which covers damage to third parties as a result of an accident. This is an analog of the Ukrainian motor citizen, but of the international standard required by all countries that are parties to the agreement - 44 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa (most of them are EU countries).

To make it easier for you to choose a policy, you can conditionally divide insurance by coverage area.

Insurance for entry to Europe

Travel insurance for entry to Europe is suitable for travel, temporary protection and visa applications. The amount of coverage of such insurance is €30,000, which meets the requirements of the Schengen area. You can take out travel insurance for a period of 3 to 180 days, and the cost will depend on the package you choose: Visit Ukraine has insurance options from €0.53 to €1.91 per day.

Medical insurance for entry to Europe is suitable for travel, temporary protection, visas, and relocation. The amount of coverage will depend on the chosen package and can be €30,000 or €50,000. You can take out such insurance for a period of 30 to 90 days, and it will cost from €0.78 to €0.93 per insured day.

Insurance for traveling around the world

Travel insurance for traveling around the world will be valid wherever you are. This insurance, like the one for Europe, is suitable for travel, temporary protection, and visa applications. The amount of coverage is €50,000, which is enough for any country in the world. You can take out insurance for a period of 7 to 180 days, and the cost of one insured day will be €2.15.

The worldwide health insurance, in particular the Classic, Silver, Gold, Platinum packages, is suitable for traveling and has the widest coverage. The annual health insurance package is suitable for work and residence permit abroad. The amount of insurance coverage also depends on the chosen package and can be €30,000 or €50,000. You can take out such insurance for a period of 3 to 180 days, and annual insurance - only for 365 days. The cost of an insured day will be from €1.5 to €4, and the annual package will cost €459.9.

In which cases travel insurance will not cover your medical expenses, we have described in this article.
