Day 1
On the first day of the trip, departure from Lviv takes place at 8:00 a.m. The first significant stop during the excursion is the palace of the Schönborn Counts (1895). The construction style of this noble residence is neo-romantic, combining Gothic and Romanesque motifs. The special feature of the palace is that it has 12 entrances (the number of months in a year), 52 rooms (the number of weeks in a year), and according to the number of days in a year, the palace has 365 windows. The magnificent palace garden impresses with rare tree species planted around a decorative lake. Today, the Karpaty sanatorium is located on the territory of the Shenborn Palace. After a short journey, we reach the Palanok Mukachevo Castle, which is located on a 68-meter-high volcanic mountain. The castle was first mentioned in documents in the 11th century, but its present appearance was formed in the 14th-17th centuries. Palanok Castle witnessed and participated in many historical events. A walk through the restored halls of the Mukachevo Castle and going to its observation terrace will give you many pleasant emotions. After visiting the castle - lunch. In addition to the castle in Mukachevo, the following are also worth noting: the Town Hall (1904), the Church of St. Martyna (1904) with the Gothic Chapel of St. Joseph (XIV century), the Palace of Princes Rakotsi (1667), etc. Then - moving almost to the Hungarian border, namely to the city of Berehove. This almost thousand-year-old city, the bulk of the population of which is made up of Hungarians, is famous for its healing thermal waters. In addition to swimming in a pool with thermal water and tasting local wines, we invite you to explore the sights of the historical center of Berehove. For example, the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (1370), the Church of the Reformers (1775), the Palace of the County Court (1909), the Palace of the Princes of Bethlen (1629), the Casino (1912). After this day full of interesting events, you will spend the night in the estates of local residents in the Berehiv district or in a hotel in the cities of Berehova or Mukachevo.
Day 2
We start the second day with breakfast and departure at 8.00. We head to the village of Nizhne Selyshche for a tasting of various types of cheese. Local cheese is made at the Selyska cheese factory using Swiss technology. Then we go to the village of Mizhhirya, next to which Makovytsia mountain is located. We will climb to the top of the mountain for a view of the panorama of the Carpathian ridges with a chair lift. After that, lunch and a short rest. After that, we will go to the village of Pylypets, which is a famous resort. At a distance of 6 km from the village is the picturesque Shipit waterfall. This waterfall, in which water falls from a height of 15 m, is a real miracle of nature. Here you really feel the majesty of nature and its beauty. The next point of the tour will be the village of Verkhnia Grabivnytsia, where a powerful bunker is located, which was a component of the Arpada Defense Line, which was built by Hungarian soldiers during World War II.
