One of the most beautiful and romantic palaces of Ukraine is located among the picturesque Carpathian mountains - the hunting palace of the Shenborn Counts (1890). The palace is surrounded by a beautiful park with many exotic plants and looks at us through 365 windows, invites us through 12 entrances to 52 rooms

Palanok Castle

We will start our journey through Transcarpathia from Palanok Mukachevo Castle. This is one of the most popular tourist destinations and not only because of its rich history and architecture, but also because of the huge number of rumors and myths that the local residents are in no hurry to neither deny nor confirm. But there is a lot to listen to here: about the heroic woman Ilona Zrini, who held the siege of the castle for several years (by the way, a historical fact), and about a strange well dug in a solid rock (who knows how it really was), and about a mysterious ghost, that roams the corridors of the castle at night (some verified saw with their own eyes). One way or another, in your list of visited places, put a check mark next to Palanok Castle in Mukachevo.

Berehove

The capital of Hungarian Ukraine - "Beregsas" is famous for pools with unique thermal water that rises from a depth of 1,600 m and cures 86 diseases, its analogues are found only in New Zealand. The town also has several pearls of architecture: the Gothic Church of All Saints (1370), the Church of the Reformers (15th century), the "Grafsky Dvor" - the estate of Prince Bethleni (1629), the majestic building of the Imperial Court (1908) and the casino "Golden Peacock".

Vinohradiv

The Carpathian buffalo farm is located near Black Mountain in Vyrodiv, where local enthusiasts are trying to save the world's northernmost buffalo population. Currently, there are more than 30 Carpathian buffaloes on the farm, which you can watch, as well as taste and buy different types of buffalo and sheep cheese.

Synevir

The business card of the Ukrainian Carpathians is the incomparably beautiful Lake Synevyr, known popularly as the "Eye of the Sea", it beckons with picturesque mountain landscapes and crystal clear water, in which noble trout have long been found. The lake was formed about 10,000 years ago at an elevation of 989 meters and has a maximum depth of 22 meters.

Pylipets

Here, from a height of 15 meters, one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Ukraine - Shipit waterfall - pours water into a picturesque mountain valley in many mesmerizing cascades between andesine rocks. It originates from a large underground source, the so-called the "eye of the sea", in one of the most beautiful places of the Ukrainian Carpathians - Borzhava valley.
