HELP

The Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko talked about the preparation of the capital's authorities and businesses for a possible repeat blackout. Certain retail chains and markets will continue to operate in the city, and public transport will be free.

 How will public transport work?

Kyiv ground electric transport and the metro will stop their work in the event of a repeated attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine and a state blackout. There will be buses on the route that will transport passengers for free. For this, the city's bus companies are equipped with automatic energy sources and the necessary fuel supply.

Metro stations will continue to function as air raid shelters and "temporary shelters for people". The average temperature at the stations varies between 12-14 degrees. The subway is equipped with communication and Internet access, electricity, drinking water and toilets. Entrance is free, but only upon presentation of an ID card.

Operation of grocery stores and markets

In the event of a repeated blackout, a number of grocery stores, shopping malls and markets will be open in Kyiv, so Kyiv residents will be able to provide themselves with the necessary products, hygiene products and water.

Klitschko published a list of retail chains, food markets, shops (supermarkets) and shopping malls that will continue to operate on autonomous power sources:

175 stores and supermarkets of the chains "Ashan", "Silpo", "Eko Market", "ATB", etc.

14 shopping centers, in particular "River Mall" (Dniprovska Naberezhna St., 10-14), "Retrovil" (Pravdy Ave., 47), "SKY MALL" (Roman Shukhevych Ave., 2T), "Mera Ciri" (St. . Sportivna, 1-A), "Kosmomultimol" (Vadim Hetman St., 6) and others.

3 food markets - "Bessarabsky market" (Bessarabska Square, 2), "Volodymyrsky Market" (115 Antonovycha St.), "Zhytniy Rynok" (Verkhniy Val St., 16).

Some Rozetka delivery points will also continue to operate.

However, retail chains may reduce their working hours in the event of a power outage.

Work of pharmacies during a blackout

In the event of a complete lack of electricity supply, KP Pharmacy pharmacies will be open. They are equipped with backup power sources. Some private pharmacies will also work.

Work of veterinary clinics

Communal vet clinics will provide qualified veterinary care to pets in the absence of electricity.

Medical and diagnostic services for pets of Kyiv residents will be provided in veterinary hospitals that are part of the Kyiv City Hospital of Veterinary Medicine.

In the event of a complete lack of electricity in Kyiv, the Animal Registration and Registration Service, which is also part of the utility company, will continue to work.

In addition, during a power outage in Kyiv, "Points of Invincibility" will operate, where you can get all the necessary and basic services. They will be available absolutely free and around the clock. You can find out exactly where such points are located and find the nearest one to your location here.

We will remind you that earlier we told how banks work during a blackout and how to prepare for a possible lack of electricity.
