Citizens of India can come to Ukraine enjoying a visa-free regime, which allows staying in the country for 90 days within a 180-day period. However, there are situations when a foreigner needs a visa, for example, for employment or education purposes.

The war does not stop tourists even from distant countries from traveling to Ukraine. Foreigners want to see architectural and cultural sights, feel the unique atmosphere of Ukrainian cities, and enjoy traditional food.

Foreigners, in particular citizens of India, can exploit visa-free entry to Ukraine. We will talk further about the rules of such trips and the cases when it is necessary to obtain a visa.

It should be noted that in the first half of 2023, more than 5,000 tourists from India visited Ukraine.

With up-to-date identity documents, Indian citizens can come to Ukraine without a visa. According to the entry regime, foreigners can stay in the country for 90 days within a 180-day period.

To avoid issues while crossing the state border, foreigners must have:

Health insurance policy;

● Confirmation of the purpose of the trip, namely hotel reservations, apartment rental contracts, travel vouchers, tickets for seminars, exhibitions, fairs, invitations from companies, etc.;

● Confirmation of sufficient financial support – $45 per person for each day of stay in Ukraine.

Please note that you cannot work or study in Ukraine without a special visa.

It is necessary to issue a visa for entering Ukraine if:

● Long-term (type "D") visa for further processing by the competent authorities of Ukraine of documents giving the right to stay or stay in Ukraine for more than 90 days.

Consider that Indian citizens can obtain an e-Visa. An e-visa can be issued to civil servants, foreign correspondents, or media representatives for a business or work trip to Ukraine. Such trips should cover the fields of culture, science, education, and sports.

In addition, a digital visa is available for citizens who wish to visit the country for private, tourist, or medical purposes.
