Passenger traffic has increased significantly in Europe on the eve of Easter. Find out more about the world's most stressful airports that may cause the most difficulties when traveling during the holidays in 2024
This Sunday, March 31, most European countries will celebrate Easter. In this regard, over the coming days and next week, the demand for travel by both land and air is expected to increase worldwide.
In particular, SchengenVisaInfo, based on data on the world's busiest airports in 2023, has published a list of five European airports where the largest number of travelers is expected to arrive this weekend.
We will tell you which airports in the world will be the most stressful this year in the article.
Which European airports will be the busiest on Easter?
London Gatwick Airport took the first place and became the most stressful airport for passengers worldwide. Dionne Plana, Global Travel Trends Analyst at VisaGuide, explained that the small size of Gatwick Airport compared to the large number of passengers leads to crowding and often causes flight delays, making it the most stressful airport in the world.
"Although three other airports on the list have higher traveler densities, Gatwick is ranked first because of its very high delay rates and the fact that it is the airport farthest from the city center," the analyst emphasized.
At the same time, the largest airport in the UK, London Heathrow Airport, took fourth place in the ranking.
