April is considered one of the most pleasant months for travel: the high season hasn’t started yet, prices often remain reasonable, and the weather already allows you to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. It is during this period that you can strike a balance between pleasant weather and the absence of crowds of tourists at popular destinations.

At the same time, for those who aren’t ready to wait for summer, there are plenty of places where temperatures already reach 28–30°C in April. According to experts at Express, there are at least five destinations that are easily accessible from Europe and where you can experience real heat as early as spring.

This selection features a variety of vacation options: from colorful Eastern cities to beach resorts and European cities with mild climates. Each has its own unique charm, but they all share one thing in common—in April, it’s already warm, sunny, and comfortable for travel.

Earlier, we shared where to go on vacation as early as June 2026.

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech is one of the most vibrant destinations for a spring trip if you’re looking for genuine warmth without the exhausting summer heat. In April, temperatures here often rise to 28°C, and on some days can be even higher, making the city ideal for walks and exploring the culture. At the same time, the heat isn’t as intense as in summer, so being outdoors is much more comfortable.

The city is known as the “Red City” due to the distinctive color of the walls of the old medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, at literally every turn, you’ll find architecture steeped in history: narrow streets, traditional riads with inner courtyards, palaces, and mosques. At the same time, Marrakech doesn’t feel like a museum—it’s a living space where ancient traditions blend seamlessly with modern design and creativity.

Local crafts deserve special attention. In the markets (souks), artisans create ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and decor using techniques passed down through generations. Many of these items have a modern twist, making it easy to find unique pieces without the typical tourist “stamp.”

Another plus is accessibility. Flights from most European cities take an average of 3–5 hours, making Marrakech a convenient option even for a short vacation. At the same time, prices for accommodation and food are often lower than in popular European destinations, allowing you to combine exoticism, comfort, and a relatively budget-friendly getaway.

Tenerife, Spain

Tenerife is one of the most reliable destinations for a warm vacation in April, as the Canary Islands are known for their mild climate year-round.

In mid-spring, the average temperature here is around +23°C, but on some days it can rise to +30°C—usually due to hot air masses from the Sahara. That is why the island is often chosen by those who want a guarantee of sunny weather.

The island attracts visitors not only with its climate but also with the variety of leisure activities. There are both classic beaches with dark volcanic sand and well-developed resort areas with all the necessary amenities. At the same time, Tenerife is not just about the sea: the island’s natural landscapes are striking in their contrasts, ranging from green gorges to volcanic scenery around Teide—Spain’s highest peak.

For active travelers, hiking trails are available, including the famous Barranco del Infierno trail, as well as water activities. Siam Park deserves a special mention—one of Europe’s best water parks, which regularly features in global rankings.

Another key advantage is convenient logistics. The flight from Europe takes approximately 2.5–4.5 hours, making the island ideal for both a short getaway and a longer trip. Tenerife is a versatile destination where you can combine the beach, nature, and activities without the risk of bad weather.

Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt

Sharm el-Sheikh is one of the best options for those who want real summer heat as early as April. During this period, the temperature here consistently stays around +30°C, and the sea warms up enough to be comfortable for swimming all day long. That is why the resort is considered an ideal destination for the early beach season.

The city is located in the south of the Sinai Peninsula, on the Red Sea coast, which is famous for its crystal-clear waters and rich underwater world. There are practically no waves or strong currents here, making the conditions excellent even for beginners in snorkeling or diving. Underwater visibility often exceeds 20–30 meters, allowing you to fully appreciate the coral reefs.

One of the main natural attractions is Ras Mohammed National Park—a protected area with unique coral gardens and hundreds of fish species. This place is among the best diving spots in the world, and even a simple snorkeling trip here turns into a full-fledged excursion through the underwater world.

Another advantage is accessibility. Flights from various European cities take approximately 2.5–6 hours, and upon arrival, tourists are greeted by a wide selection of all-inclusive hotels. Combined with stable weather, this makes Sharm el-Sheikh one of the most convenient and predictable destinations for a spring vacation.

Barbados

Barbados is an option for those who want the ultimate “summer” atmosphere as early as April. Here, temperatures consistently hover around 30°C, and the ocean remains warm and comfortable for swimming. Unlike many other destinations, the island’s climate rarely holds any surprises, so you can count on sunny weather throughout your entire vacation.

Barbados’s main attraction is its coastline.

The island is famous for its snow-white beaches, turquoise waters, and palm trees, which create a classic “picture-perfect” scene. At the same time, different parts of the island have distinct characteristics: the west coast is calmer and ideal for swimming, while the east coast attracts surfers with its Atlantic waves.

Beyond the beaches, Barbados offers a rich cultural experience. It blends British colonial heritage, African traditions, and the Caribbean way of life. The capital, Bridgetown, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the historic Garrison district offers a deeper insight into the island’s past.

The only catch is logistics. Direct flights from Europe take about 9 hours, and with layovers, the journey can last up to 15 hours. However, for those seeking a truly exotic destination with guaranteed temperatures of 30°C, Barbados is well worth the time spent.

Malaga, Spain

Malaga is a great option for those who aren’t looking for extreme heat but want consistent warmth and sunshine in April. During this period, temperatures here are usually around 20–22°C, but thanks to approximately 320 sunny days a year, the weather feels much warmer and more comfortable for walks and relaxing on the coast.

The city is located on the Costa del Sol and combines beach vacations with a vibrant city life. The tourist season begins here in April, but without the summer crowds, so you can leisurely explore the historic center, museums, and the waterfront. It’s the perfect balance between relaxation and cultural activities.

The local cuisine deserves special attention. Málaga is famous for its fish and seafood dishes, which are as fresh as possible thanks to the city’s proximity to the sea. At the same time, it’s easy to find traditional Andalusian meat and vegetable dishes in the city, as well as modern restaurants serving signature cuisine.

Another major plus is accessibility. Flights from most European cities take only a few hours, making Málaga an ideal destination for a short trip or a spontaneous getaway. It’s one of the most convenient options for those seeking sunshine without long flights.
