National Cashback funds must be spent by June 30: why and how can you do this?
Funds on National Cashback cards must be spent by June 30, 2026 — otherwise, they will be returned to the state budget. Find out what you can use your accumulated funds for and how the program will continue to operate after this date
Ukrainians who have accumulated funds on their National Cashback cards must spend them by June 30, 2026, inclusive — otherwise, the money will be returned to the state budget. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine on May 18.
Important to note: Ukrainians will receive cashback for April purchases at the end of May — and these funds must also be used by the end of June.
How is cashback calculated and what rates apply?
The National Cashback Program continues to operate as usual. Payments are made after the 20th of the following month for the previous month. At the same time, cashback for purchases made in May will be received in July — after the June 30 deadline — so these funds are not subject to restrictions and can be spent as usual.
The cashback rates remain unchanged:
● 5% cashback — on groceries, automotive products, pharmacy items, and gardening supplies;
● 15% cashback on non-food items: clothing, footwear, electronics, toys, hobby, leisure, and home improvement goods, as well as on select food items — hard and soft cheeses, pasta, oats, and buckwheat.
The maximum monthly cashback amount remains unchanged at 3,000 hryvnias.

What can you spend your accumulated funds on?
You can use money from your National Cashback card for:
● paying for utilities;
● paying for postal services;
● purchasing Ukrainian-made products;
● purchasing Ukrainian-made medical devices or medicines;
● buying books or other printed materials;
● making charitable donations, including to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Why was the June 30 deadline set, and what has changed in the program?
The deadline is related to changes in the regulatory framework. According to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1510 of November 22, 2025, as of May 1, 2026, the accrual of cashback for new purchases was to be discontinued, and funds credited to accounts were to be used by June 30, 2026.
However, on May 4, the government relaunched the program: a new resolution extended the National Cashback program until April 30, 2028. The document states that the program provides for “the provision of state monetary compensation to buyers of Ukrainian-made goods and services within the framework of the All-Ukrainian economic platform ‘Made in Ukraine’.”
As such, new purchases and cashback accruals continue as usual. However, the June 30 deadline for funds already accumulated — specifically those accrued prior to the relaunch — remains in effect. So there’s no point in delaying.
We remind you! The Ukrainian government has approved annual financial assistance ahead of the main national holiday. In 2026, veterans, people with disabilities, and the families of fallen defenders will be able to receive up to 3,100 hryvnias.
