Ukrzaliznytsia to Launch New Intercity Trains to Odesa Starting in June: Schedule and Routes
Starting June 27–28, 2026, Ukrzaliznytsia is launching two new high-speed Intercity trains to Odesa and increasing the frequency of two more routes. Find out which new routes will be added, how the trains will run, and where to buy tickets
Ukrzaliznytsia has announced a significant expansion of its high-speed train network ahead of the summer season. Four changes are taking place simultaneously: the introduction of two new daily services and a doubling of the frequency on two existing routes. Ticket sales are now open, according to the carrier’s press service.

The First-Ever Dnipro–Odesa “Intercity”
The most significant news is the launch of train No. 753/754 Dnipro–Odesa. It will be the first regular high-speed “Intercity” train in the history of independent Ukraine to connect these two cities. The service begins on June 28 and will run daily.
Previously, passengers traveling between Dnipro and Odesa had to use regular trains or transfer. Now, a direct high-speed connection is available—a significant change for residents of the Dnipro region planning a summer vacation on the coast.

New Daily Kyiv–Odesa Intercity
Starting June 27, the new daily high-speed train No. 765/766 Kyiv–Odesa will begin service. This adds an additional daily trip from the capital to the seaside resort, in addition to the existing ones.
Twice as many trips on two routes
In addition to the new trains, Ukrzaliznytsia is doubling the frequency of two existing Intercity trains:
● No. 763/764 Kyiv–Odesa — from three to six times a week;
● No. 748/747 Kyiv–Ternopil — also from three to six times a week.
This change is particularly important during peak season, when demand for tickets significantly exceeds supply. More trains mean a better chance of buying a ticket at a convenient time.
The company explains that it was able to simultaneously introduce new trains and increase frequency thanks to the optimization of rolling stock rotation. A new schedule for high-speed electric trains on the Kyiv–Odesa–Dnipro triangle has been established for the summer season.
“This scheme allows the same rolling stock to sequentially serve several high-demand routes at once and use the existing fleet more efficiently. As a result, passengers get more trains and more seats on the most popular routes of the summer season," according to a statement from Ukrzaliznytsia.
In other words, the same train, after arriving in Odesa from Kyiv, does not remain at the station but continues on to Dnipro, and then repeats the cycle. This allows for maximum utilization of each train and offers more seats without the need to purchase additional rolling stock.
Buy tickets for the new “Intercity” services and other routes conveniently through the Visit Ukraine service—there you can find train, bus, and airline tickets all in one place.
