Trains to the Carpathians: Ukrzaliznytsia has added services. When will they start running?
Due to high demand, Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced additional trains from Kyiv to Rakhiv and Mukachevo. Tickets for these dates are now on sale online. Check the exact timetable for the new services and plan your trip to the Carpathians in good time
The state-owned company Ukrzaliznytsia has responded to the increased demand from tourists by scheduling additional services to the Carpathian Mountains for the coming weekend. This decision will enable more travellers to reach the popular resorts of Western Ukraine during this busy period.
How to get to the Carpathians from Kyiv: timetable for new services
Due to high demand for trips to the mountains, the national carrier is launching two additional trains at once. In the coming days, trains No. 251/252 will run on the Kyiv–Rakhiv route, as well as No. 277/278 on the Kyiv–Mukachevo route. These trains are scheduled to depart from the capital on 12 and 14 June. In the opposite direction, from the Carpathian region to Kyiv, the trains will depart on 13 and 15 June respectively.
The railway company’s press office noted that the number of services was increased promptly thanks to the efficient reallocation of rolling stock. In addition, carriages that had recently undergone scheduled maintenance at Ukrzaliznytsia’s own production facilities were deployed on the routes.
