In addition, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine was reminded of the basic rules that save lives during enemy missile strikes:

The rule of "two walls"

You should have at least 2 walls separating you from the danger, as one will likely collapse on impact and the other will take on the broken wall, window glass, etc. Therefore, it is safe to hide in a place located behind the second retaining wall from the facade. Usually this is a vestibule, corridor or hallway. Even if it seems to you that the house is unstable, there is no basement, and there is no space in the storage room, stay close to the retaining walls - they will withstand.

The rule of "two exits"

You must be clear that there are at least 2 exits from the shelter. Therefore, a basement or garage with one exit is a trap. The only exit may be blocked by debris or blocked during a fire. However, modern underground parking lots and basements in most buildings are designed to be safe.

Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported that the "Air Alarm" application has expanded the list of dangers it will notify users about. From now on, there will be a warning about the beginning and end of 5 types of dangers. You can find out more in our article at the link.

In addition, here you can find links to maps of storage facilities, shelters and protective structures in the regions of Ukraine.

Keep calm and take care!
