Appointments at MIA service centres will now work differently: what has changed
The Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres are transitioning to a more transparent and convenient service format: the updated electronic booking system shows the exact appointment time, the number of available slots, and synchronises data between the online service and self-service terminals. Find out how online booking now works at the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centres
On 3 February 2026, an updated electronic appointment system for receiving services began operating in the service centres of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The update affected both the online appointment service and the self-service terminals installed in regional service centres. This was reported by the Main Service Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The main innovation is the synchronisation of all registration channels. Now, the online service and self-service terminals display the same, up-to-date information about available services and free time slots. In fact, the system has become unified: data is updated simultaneously, without discrepancies between different registration methods.
Appointment with exact time
When registering via a terminal at the service centre, visitors see specific available appointment times and can choose a convenient slot. At the same time, the principle of service provision has not changed: appointments are made on the day of application, and the service is provided on the same day.
In addition, the information display in the service centre halls has been updated. The monitors show the current date and time, electronic queue numbers, as well as the numbers of the workstations of administrators and specialists of the MIA Expert Service who receive visitors. This allows visitors to better navigate the queue and understand at what stage their request is.

Limits on the number of appointments
The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasises that the system update does not remove the established restrictions. For individuals, there is a limit of no more than four appointments per month in total through the online service and self-service terminals. Legal entities can make up to six appointments per day.
Online registration is available 21 days in advance. Each new day for registration opens automatically at 6:00 a.m. The number of slots is determined by the system, taking into account the duration of specific services, the number of administrators in the service centre, and their work schedules.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs notes that the updates implemented are not final. Order No. 897 provides for other changes in the electronic registration system, but their implementation requires additional organisational and technical improvements. The next stages of modernisation will be announced separately as they are implemented.
